Hey Guys, i took my first sat in june 2015 and got a 1900(570 CR, 650M, 680W).
I am a student from india and wanted to apply to osu .i have tons of ecs and an average of 92%(calculated in 100) from class 9 to 12. Do i have any chance to getting accepted to osu?
Your numbers and the ecs you have are right on par for OSU! However, since Ohio State’s admissions are holistic, it looks if you also participated in your school’s tougher classes. Other than that, you look very competitive for OSU!
@nilesh99 i am sorry i am not as optimistic as 123365. I think your numbers are borderline. A 92 gpa is not that impressive unless you are in the top 10% or 25% of your class in mostly honors and a rigorous curriculum. Your math score of 650 is good but a 570 CR and a total 1220 score for M & CR is low (around the 40%tile) of all applicants). The writing score is not looked at. ECs are important and all your ECs may tip the scale in your favor, given the holistic review. But why sweat it? Since OSU does not superscore, take the SAT again and get your combined math and reading up to a 1300. If you can do that you won’t need to sweat it out.
