I am from India AP is not offered in my school I just took the exams by reading books without the help of any teacher.

What is your financial situation?

@intparent I absolutely love Mudd and I think I would be a great fit because I love not only CS but also business studies and econ I wrote an essay about how even though I loved all the subjects I mentioned above I was only allowed to take a course catered to STEM in high school so I joined TIE that allowed me to pursue my passion. Any comment on chances will be appreciated.

I’d say your stats look fine, and it helps as an international that you apparently are full pay (you have run the net price calculator to see what your cost of attendance would be, right?). Your essays will be key. Be sure you read the Mudd mission statement and think about it as you complete your essays.

@intparent I have run the net price calc, but I am worried that this year there has been a lot of increase in the no of applicants from my country(India) will that affect my chances? if so then what chances do I have?

I honestly can’t say what your chances are. The Common Data set doesn’t show a breakdown of acceptances for international students vs. US students. I assume a lot of the applicants from your country aren’t full pay, so that is an edge for you. All you can do it put in your best application.

Yeah, there are a fair number of students from India, but Mudd doesn’t seem to be too concerned about geographic diversity. Something like 36% of the students are from California. I think they care more about your qualifications.
