Hi, please chance me for the most selective universities. I would like to see if there is any chance of getting into my dreams/reaches. If possible, please mention which is the most probable.
(Ivies, Stanford, Uchicago, Duke, NYU stern)

Desired field of study: Economics (maybe with maths)

ACT 34 (36 Maths, 36 English, 35 Science, 29 Reading :frowning: & 10 on the essay)

SAT subjects: 800 Maths2C, 770 Chem, 730 Physics
HSK(Chinese proficiency) level 5 (second highest)
IGCSE mix of A* and As

  • Worked as a marketing&IT manager for a non-profit business I founded with 5 other friends
  • Worked as a marketing director in a school non-profit organisation that works to decrease plastic consumption
  • Interned at an export/import company for 2 months
  • Interned at a famous restaurant as a foreign marketing intern
  • Interned at another import/retail company for 2 months
  • Coached younger mathletes for various maths competitions
  • Founder and a co-leader of a mystery club
  • Few virtual internships done through summer (Microsoft,Citibank,etc)
  • Volunteer trip to South East Asia
  • Worked as a maths ambassador for school (2years)
  • School maths team for 6 years

Awards;

  • 99% individual and 95%overall in a maths competition in which schools from over 30 countries entered & qualified to worlds (but didn’t go)
  • 1st place individual, 1st place team in city maths championship in grade 10
  • 1st place individual in city maths championship in grade 12
  • awarded the best mathematician in school once and mathlete of the year once
  • UKMT gold 6 years in a row, best in year once, few olympiad qualifications

LOR: 7/10 close with one teacher but not others

I can’t chance you but all those schools will be reaches, with international acceptance rates in the low single digits.

Needing financial aid will also be a disadvantage at the schools that are not need blind for international students (only H,Y,P, MIT, and Amherst are need blind for int’ls).

Make sure to have a balanced list of schools…including at least on affordable safety, likely in your home country.

hi. thanks for your reply. All of my safeties will be back in my home country so I am taking a long shot at the US ones. :slight_smile: If possible, could your recommend me some match schools?
