If there’s anything else you’d like to know, just comment. Thanks!

You already have a great acceptance, so congratulations!

You’ll hear from MIT in 4 days and from the rest by the end of the month.

So just hang in there, and see how it works out. It’s hard for us to accurately predict your chances at these reach schools, and it’s kind of pointless when you’re so close to getting actual results. You’re a strong candidate so I expect you’ll hear more good news soon.

Best wishes!

Agree with @DadOfJerseyGirl but I’ll add when you say something like this,

Cost Constraints / Budget
No constraints, but I wouldn’t mind some aid.

Assuming you don’t qualify for need aid, your decision is already made.

In state Ga Tech with Hope crushes any of the others, especially when you make that statement (assuming full pay).

Georgia Tech is a superb university. It will be academically demanding, but it looks like you are ready for this. Given where else you have applied, it also looks like “academically demanding” is what you are looking for. Congratulations on your acceptance to GT!

Assuming that your family does not have $500,000 sitting unused in a college fund waiting for a place to go, and given that you said “family business facing struggles”, to me Georgia Tech in-state looks like a great choice and the best bet for you financially.

If you get great financial aid to make one of the other schools come out equal in cost then sure consider them. However, I think that you are already in at a great choice, and I do not think that it is worth taking on debt to go anywhere that costs more compared to GT.

Your reach schools will still be there if you are considering a graduate program at some point in the future. Graduate admissions at any university in the US, or any university in the world, will know how strong GT is.

I think yes from U Penn and Brown.
Just guessing, but it fun to do!

Congratulations. You have one fantastic acceptance. All it takes is one.

GT is very affordable. Plus you’ll be able to use your AP classes for credit. You’re ahead of the game.

Also, it looks like you’re undecided on a major. Outside of CS you should be able to take a few classes before you decide. You’re also allowed one major change without any questions (except for CS I believe. They’ve gotten stricter with that). If it takes you an extra semester to figure it out the cost isn’t prohibitive.

Take a look at GT’s ISyE program. Good luck.

Congratulations on your acceptance to Georgia Tech! What a wonderful option to have!

:100:

I hope that the Net Price Calculators at the schools you’re waiting to hear from came back as affordable for your family and that any forthcoming financial offers will be affordable. If not, however, you have Hope/Zell Miller in Georgia, and also check this out if you haven’t already:
