Congrats on your accomplishments and acceptances. I don’t think you need anyone here to tell you that the schools on your list are reaches for any unhooked applicant. You have a shot – at this point there is nothing to do but sit tight and wait for your decisions. Good luck.

You have lots of posts prior. So you’ve been given a lot of chance mes.

You already have acceptances. If affordable, you’re already in good shape.

Best of luck.

Two things bug me:

Two months ago:

Look at your list. Even if you get in, you might derail under the stress. I see a list this long and it stresses me out.

Take care of yourself first.

Sorry but I have not followed your other posts, so I will need to look at this in isolation. Seems for someone with an 800 math you may not be pushing math as hard as you could - but I do not truly know your school offering. I think you probably get into Wisconsin. Slight chance of pulling another 1 or 2, but they are all reaches based on early results alone.

Surprised OP mentioned wanting to go to a LAC. Very few LACs on that list. There are many that offer EA—Oberlin, Macalester, Bard among them—that could have been targets/safeties to ensure a lack option early on, and hopefully relieve stress.

Regardless, there are some excellent options here, and RD with that list will be anyone’s guess.

I know it’s hard to stop thinking about it, but I hope you can find some distraction with your friends and have some fun second semester senior year. It’ll all work out.

In the spirit of making this thread as instructive as possible for others who read it, what school/majors did you ultimately apply to at the colleges you’ve been accepted to? I’m trying to understand if you received direct admit to the business schools at UIUC, PSU, IU, UF, UMD. I’m assuming they all meet with approval from your parents, so they are affordable?

I can’t chance you for the rest, but I do think the decrease in math rigor is a weakness in your app. Of course, it was most important that you protect your health/mental well being but you applied to so many reaches, which must have been quite time intensive. Once all the decisions are in, I hope you can attend admitted student days so you can assess the schools for vibe…you might steer clear of schools that are known to be academically intense.

I just went back and read your earlier long thread about wanting IB/finance career, school in a city, desire for LACs plus what sounds like some significant family pressure. You’ve got five good options already. The remainder here are primarily under 10% acceptance rate, and therefore pretty much a lottery for anyone. There really isn’t a Chance Me. They’re also so very different in many cases in terms of size, locale, academic approach and vibe. You mentioned last year that you wanted LACs and cities, but the vast majority in your list are neither.

Take a deep breath, focus on a successful senior year and plan to attend as many accepted students days as you can to pick the right place where you can thrive. Congrats on a strong four years of HS.

Your results so far don’t particularly surprise me, so I would suggest categorizing your remaining RD Reaches as pretty difficult Reaches remains appropriate. Which doesn’t mean impossible, but it is good you already have some excellent offers.
