chance me for regular decision to UGA

I was deferred from early action. I have a 3.75 GPA and thats uga's calculation for gpa, 4 AP classes, 5 honors classes, 22 ACT, and 1390 SAT. I know really low test scores. My extra curricular activities include varsity football and golf for 3 years, FFA club member, student council member, and volunteer at local golf course. I also have worked an average of 22 hours per week at a local grocery store for the last two years during the off season of the sports I play. Does anyone know of someone that has gotten into UGA with the same resume and with such low test scores?

I think u got a shot. What's your ACT English/writing and math. They mainly look at that. Also are you taking the ACT on Dec 10th. UGA superscores the ACT.

ALL 3 AREAS ARE A 22 AND MY SUPERSCORE IS A 22. i HAVE TOOK THE SAT 3 TIMES AND THE ACT TWICE. I'M GONNA TRY AND TAKE THE SAT ON JAN. 28 TH FOR A FINAL TIME. DO YOU KNOW OF ANYONE THAT HAS GOTTEN IN WITH LOW TEST SCORES?

Just so you know, by taking the SAT for a total of 4 times, your scores will become averaged together.

^ Not true. You can take a test as many times as you need, although having to take it four times doesn't look that great anyway. I would retake the ACT instead. Your ACT score is much better.

Last year I applied during early action and got deferred, but got in regular decision. I, like you, had low test scores. I had a 21 ACT and 1100 SAT (M and CR). Just make sure you work really hard on the essays and make yourself stand out. Also make sure you get a good recommendation. Overall I think you have a shot. Your ec looks good and you seem pretty well rounded. Best of luck!

Thanks! I've been putting alot of time and effort into my essays. I also am getting my AP U.S history teacher to right my recommendation letter, she is a great teacher and I believe she knows me the best. Can you tell me what your GPA was and did you take alot of AP classes?

A 1390 SAT???

Are you sure more education is really right for you?

Do not let Rusty discourage you!

Make improving your SAT in January your main priority. Practice and study hard, and I'm sure you will see improvement.

Good luck!
