<p>Am I reading this correct…1.78 GPA? That means mostly C’s and D’s, possibly some F’s. I’m not sure your outstanding SAT score can really overcome this. If there is a compelling reason for the real low GPA, perhaps you should talk directly to an admissions counselor at these schools and adddress this in an essay. I’d have to say they are all reaches…and they still would be if your GPA was 2.78, not 1.78. Don’t give up and possible think about community colleges first or schools like Kean, William Paterson, etc.

also said your GPA is 2.03, not 1.78 (not much of a difference).</p>
