Chance me for some of my choices! Will chance back!

Hey all!
I'm an Indian (the kind from the country of India) senior looking to make it into college (obviously)

Some of the college I'm looking to apply to include:
-Carnegie Mellon
-Johns Hopkins
-Duke
-Cornell

And here are my stats:

GPA: 3.9 (4.0 scale)
Weighted: 4.77
Class Rank: 7/526

SAT Reasoning: 2140 (taken twice)
ACT with writing: 35 (writing score of 8, taken once)

SAT Subject Tests:
-Math 2: 800
-Chem: 800
-Physics: 720
I am sending all scores to all of these schools.

AP Classes:
-Statistics 5
-Chemistry 5
-BC Calculus 5
-AB Subscore 5
-English Lang 4
-English Lit
-Physics C
-Bio
-Government and Politics

Extra Curriculars:
-Captain of Math Team
-Columbia Science Honors Program
-Online Editor of Interact (volunteering)
-Finance Coordinator of National Honor Society (volunteering)
-Member of the Debate Team, where I've won CDA 3rd Place Speaker and 2nd Place Team in a regional competition
-Robotics
-Volunteer at nearby hospital

Jobs:
-Tech Associate at Staples
-IT Intern for the City's government center
-A tutor for SAT, math, and science

Some achievements:
-Bausch & Lomb Sci Award
-AP Scholar with Honor

Thanks a ton guys. Please be honest (and blunt if necessary) with your responses.

I think your scores and GPA are great but would send ACT instead of SAT if given the option. SAT is still very good but your ACT is stronger. Your ECS are also really good. If you can write an essay bringing everything to a specific meaning, and get great recs I'd say chances are good for all those schools.

Carnegie Mellon - low reach
-Johns Hopkins - low reach
-Duke - low reach
-Cornell - low reach

The only reason I say "reach" is because admissions to these schools tends to be random, and so I can't say you are a "shoo-in," but I have no doubt that you should get accepted to AT LEAST one of those.

Best of luck!

Answer mine? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1260515-chance-senior-georgetown.html

Agreed. If you submit your ACT instead of your SAT, then I see no reason why you would not get into at least one of those schools, and I'd bet you get into more than one.

ACT over SAT. SAT is a little too average, while ACT is pretty darn good :D
Really impressive academic record as well as extra curriculars.
You have a really good shot at all of these schools... good luck!

thanks :D

I would say send the ACT, but you have really good SATIIs. If you're applying RD, maybe try and take the SAT again and get it higher. I know Duke and Cornell will only look at either the ACT or the SATI and SATIIs, but they won't look at the ACT and then your SATIIs (which are both great). so send the ACT now, take the SAT again, and if you break 2200 composite then I would send that with your SATIIs since there will still be time.

other than that you're looking good for these.

chance me back?

I think that you'll get into all of those schools. I think you also have a good shot at the Ivies.
