Please let me know what my chances of getting into each of these schools for the spring transfer are. If anyone has any questions for me, suggestions, or experiences with these schools, please share them as well. Thank you!

You have great stats, and have a solid chance for all of these schools (by solid, I mean you’re close to having the best chance you could possibly get when it comes to these institutions).

Some suggestions: add a couple more schools, and if you REALLY want to leave Vassar, I suggest you throw in a couple of less selective institutions to your list.

What is your major? Perhaps if you include your major, I can recommend some institutions that you may be interested in.

Hi! My major is history, and I’m currently planning to stay on that path. Any additional recommendations you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Bump!

@abc135 Quick tidbit of info, Tufts only accepts Spring transfers who intend to enroll in their R.E.A.L program.
See: http://admissions.tufts.edu/apply/applying-as-a-transfer-candida/real-application/
if you’re eligible.

Any particular reason you’d like to leave a highly ranked LAC to attend another highly ranked LAC? Reasoning is a significant factor in transfer admission.

@AGoodFloridian is totally correct here.

If your reasoning is rank, then it’s pretty pointless to transfer, considering Vassar is well-regarded.

I’ll tell you something right off the bat, the transfer process is NOT FUN. Not only should you have a compelling reason to transfer, but you should have a rather strong enough reason to be willing to go through the tedious process, to keep you sane.

In any event, assuming you’re not in it for the ranking bump, schools with strong humanities / anthropology departments are what you should shoot for. Since you seem to like the liberal arts curriculum structure (since most of your list is composed of LAC’s) I recommend looking for liberal arts curriculum in institutions.

Georgetown comes into mind. But as I said, look for schools under that criteria.
