Sorry but UT Austin is a safety only for Texas residents in the top 8% of the class. If you are OOS, UT admission is unpredictable and your chances depend a lot on your major, business, compsci, and engineering are very competetive.
Yeah I know. I live in Texas and my sister and Dad went there. That one was more to see if people knew how competitive it was. I don’t really have an interest in going there.
@Rarpicharpard I don’t know much about UTexas, but you’re a safety for Syracuse (their SAT range is 1610-1870) and a low reach for Cornell (Cornell is one of the easier Ivies). Overall, your GPA and SAT scores are good, but your ECs are a bit on the weak side.
And FYI…
Reach = higher chances of being rejected than accepted
Match = equal chance between acceptance and rejected; good fit
Safety = higher chances of being accepted than rejected; overqualified
