I would only point out that one of her Reaches is USC, a large, private university whose overlaps are all in California.
I will admit I sometimes struggle to understand the value proposition for Californians looking at USC without a lot of aid.
I think this bit is very important. I noticed that the poster listed Northwestern and U Penn as the two with ED consideration though sounds like all may be under ED consideration. These may be the two top choices or there might be one that is preferred but the other is considered easier to get into ED.
If there is a preference for one, then would the student feel some regret if accepted ED to the less preferred one in order to better the odds? If so, then itâs likely best to either ED to the preferred school or donât ED at all.
Thank you for posting the no acceptance thread. You can have all the qualifications in the world and still not get in something people often forget.
I could be wrong about Northwestern but my impression is that they pick out the applicants who can clearly describe why itâs a good fit (on top of strong qualification). If you donât know by now why you want to ED there, itâs probably not where you want to ED.
