I feel that the strength of my application is academics. Overall, my ec’s are pretty weak. If I can make a deep run into my state’s high school golf tournament (through my league, through districts and reach states), the golf will look really nice.

Please chance me for the below schools. I will probably be applying to the colleges of arts and science. If you have any advice of where I should apply ED, any schools to remove or add, just let me know. I appreciate all feedback. Thanks!!!

Yale (ED) -
Princeton -
Harvard -
Penn (Triple legacy) -
Columbia -
Cornell (legacy) -
Chicago -
NYU (legacy) -
Rochester (legacy) -

I think that you should apply to Penn ED. With all the legacy, you’ll have really good chances.

With the legacy at Penn you have a great chance.

Just making a distinction, Yale doesn’t have ED (binding). It does have single-choice EA which is possibly what you meant. But you could turn down the acceptance to go to, say, Princeton.

Don’t you mean class of '13? College class '12 already graduated…

I don’t think you should go for all HYP, they are all reaches. Your scores are in HYP range, but your ECs aren’t stellar, same with Awards. But if you did go to states that could change

Your grades are great though. Here’s my two-cents

Yale (EA) - Reach
Princeton - Reach
Harvard - Reach
Penn (Triple legacy) - High Fit
Columbia - Low Reach (Columbia’s school of Arts and Science is as hard to get into as Harvard, while the Engineering school is much less competitive)
Cornell (legacy) - Fit
Chicago - Fit
NYU (legacy) - Low Fit
Rochester (legacy) - Safety

Yeah, both of those were typos. It should read class of '13 and EA. I appreciate all the replies so far, they have been very helpful! Does it seem like I have a good mix of reaches, matches and safeties? Thanks!
