Work Experience
Work Program- (Summer going into Grade 10)
In camp, Work Program is an extremely select program of twenty fifteen-old years that combines the best parts of being a camper with a chance to experience some of the responsibilities and benefits of being staff for four hours each day. I was able to try out various camp jobs such as being a parent helper, a counselor aide for the youngest female unit, a drama “specialist”, and working in the office. Being a parent helper and a counselor aide I was able to interact with the children and engage in activity with them. As a drama “specialist” I was able to help the director prepare for the show by giving him notes and by giving the actors advice on what they could improve on. In the office, I printed emails, sorted the mail, and distributed mail to all of the units.
Parent Helper (Summer going into Grade 11)- I worked with five children over the course of 9 weeks ranging from infancy to five years old. Three of the children were diagnosed with autism two of them were twins at three years old and the other was five.
Counselor Aide (Summer going into Grade 12)
I worked with 48 girls for the month of July and 32 girls in the month of August all ranging from ages six to ten.
Babysitter- (Grades 10, 11, and 12) I worked in multiple homes in Merrick area as well as at Temple Israel during the High Holy days. I also babysat on my off hours during sleepaway camp the same year I was a Parent Helper.

Hey there! I’m a high school student in a suburb of Columbus, so I know a lot about the struggle of seniors applying to OSU. Your ECs and awards are nice, but most people applying to OSU have a 3.7 UW and your SAT is 190 points below the 25th percentile. To be honest, I don’t think you have a shot of getting into main campus, but don’t let people’s opinions steer you away from applying.

Ummm thanks but I got in. Go Bucks!
