<p>UCLA is a low reach.</p>

<p>The rest are pretty high reaches, I disagree with the previous poster. If you have a fantastic senator rec your chances at west point will be better though. California has a lot of high scoring/GPA Asian applicants, and you’ll have a tough time competing with them throughout this process. </p>

<p>i’d say that you are a strong applicant…ur SATs could be a little higher though…im not sure that u quite make the 50th percentile of admitted students on that part but other than that, u are a competitive applicant…GPA, EC’s, rank and background surely helps tho…chance back? <a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/839364-chance-me-please.html[/url]”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/839364-chance-me-please.html&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

<p>it apparently is, as that’s what my parents have told me. I don’t exactly live in an affluent area and my dad is the only one that works and it’s a labor job. Were not dirt poor but I do get help from government programs.</p>

<p>being in california, i dont know much about vanderbilt or West Point. But in regard to UCLA, USC and UCB, I think it would depend on your major. For engineering, I think your chances would be lower. Your GPA looks good, SAT is a bit low. I’d say you have a good chance at USC, but a 30-45% chance at UCLA and UCB. Hope I helped. </p>

<p>Your test scores are a bit low and you don’t have a ton of EC’s, but your GPA and courseload are good. I think if you talked about your experiences with helping out with the Obama election and other unique experiences, then you will be in good shape.</p>
