I’m a Maryland resident, sophomore in HS (so probably too early, but I’m a worrier).
PSAT 2015: 1250 (710 reading, 540 math)
GPA: 3.5 UW, 4.2 W
Courseload: Mostly GT (harder than honors, easier than GT), some honors, will take AP World, both English APs, Psych, Euro, French
Extracurriculars: Irish dance, planning committee for French club, 4-H, Future Educators of America, Service Club, hopefully NHS or English/French Honor Society
I’m also doing a class where we do a college-level, independent research project and I’m planning on taking it again, and I’m planning on getting an internship in something relating to education.
I’m hoping to major in history or English, and, if the school has it, double with education. For William and Mary, how much of a disadvantage is it if I don’t take calc or physics (I do have four years of a language, though)? Do I need to do anything else to be competitive (besides improving my score for the SAT), especially for W&M?
