Hi! I’m a girl attending my last year of high school at a UWC.

I visited Tufts over the Summer and fell in love with it and so I’m really keen on applying ED I.

Here are my stats:

I take the IB curriculum so here are my constituent predicted grades:
HL Biology: 7
HL Chemistry: 6

Adding up those with the addition of 3 bonus points give me an IB predicted of 40/45.

ACT: 29 - superscored (I know this isn’t great but I’m really not the best test taker).

In terms of my essays, I’m really working hard on them. Definitely going to make sure they stand out - my common app revolves around a “reading slump” and slowly feeds into the world of BookTube.

I THINK it’s an unweighted 3.83 GPA but I’m not 100% sure as an IB to GPA conversion is said to be inaccurate.

Tufts is very test aware, so that ACT is going to be a weak link for you. I’ve always felt like they don’t quite “get” the IB as well as some other schools, so it’s hard to say if they’ll fully value your accomplishment. Everything else looks great. I’d say 50% you get in, 50% you get deferred to the regular round. I don’t think they’d reject you in the ED round. Good luck!!

This advice may be too late, but for what it’s worth, I would get your ACT score up a point or two to be rock solid for Tufts.
