essays

Don’t be so hard on yourself, Those stats, and those ECs, will undoubtedly place you into a school where you will be able to be whatever you want to in life – scientist, tech genius, poet, physician, epidemiologist, lawyer, architect, paleontologist, sociologist, whatever!! I can only speak to Tulane, as that is the only school whose admissions I follow. This is a rough year for admissions down there, and the school is greatly emphasizing fit, knowledge of the school, and demonstrated interest. Many people with stats superior to yours have been rejected, and many with stats inferior to yours have been accepted. (BTW, the 25%-75% range this year is 30-33 for the ACT, while the median SAT is 1390.). If you really want Tulane, now is the time to communicate that in no uncertain terms to the admissions office. Best of luck wherever you wind up!

Wherever you end up attending, I suggest you do not use autism in the hyperbolic/insulting manner seen here.

You’ve applied to three schools which prize “fit” and demonstrated interest, so it’s difficult to gauge your odds - especially at UChicago, where the essays are key. All we can say is that your application looks competitive, but not stellar, so - like most applicants - you have a chance. At Tulane, it’s probably above average. The others, who knows.
