Chance me for UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, UC Davis

GPA UW= 3.9
GPA W: 4.6
SAT 1(scores just in): CR:630 M:700 W:740 (2070)
ECs: Average. Nothing major

describe your ECs for a better chance. they’re a subjective factor and calling them average can be over/underselling them.

Robotics team
Varsity soccer
Karate (black belt - 1st degree - but only thru 8th grade, Piano till 8th grade
Community service (old age home, underpriveleged children).
Serving food at salavation army - helping cook etc.
Volunteering at the library

My friends’ experiences (as well as mine) seem to suggest that your score will be good enough for UCSD/UC Davis for sure and at least competitive for Berkeley/UCLA.

However, it would be nice if you can list your courseload for your high school years as well as your SAT 2 scores (if you took them) and any awards you received…

For what it’s worth, I doubt that karate and piano would matter that much to colleges given that you only went through them until the 8th grade.

Still need to take SAT-II (planning Math 2 and Biol-M). This is not required for UC - correct?

No Awards.

On High school course load - full and heavy course load - all Honors/MYP/IB/AP classes
AP Calculus AB
Honors Chemistry
Honors Biology
IB English 1, 2
IB History of America, Global Studies
IB Biology 1,2
IB Spanish 1
IB Economics
IB Physics
IB Theory of Knowledge
etc…

It is true that they “aren’t” required, but taking them will help you.

What major are you applying to? SAT subject tests are “strongly encouraged” for COE.
