Essays/LORs/Other
I would say these should be pretty strong. I was intending on applying a year earlier, due to me pursuing early graduation, so I have a strong foundation for my PIQs. I passed all my English classes, including college, with A’s. I have a decent support system to help me with it (old teachers, family, etc.), and so I would say I can make them really strong.

Does that qualify for grade replacement, or will the F be calculated into your GPA?

I believe it will be calculated into my GPA, since it was a dual enrollment course.

@Gumbymom may know more about what this means for UC admissions.

@awayonleave

UC’s require the original grade and the repeat grade be reported on the UC application. If AP Calculus AB is completed by the time the application is submitted and has similar course content as Math-120, then the F will not be calculated into the UC GPA. If the AP Calculus AB is being taken Senior year, then the F will remain in the UC GPA calculation for that DE course since the retake is in progress.

Thank you for this information, since I am currently taking AP Calc and won’t have that calculated in my UC GPA.
