Essays: Common App essay is about me coming out as a transgender person and the struggles I have overcome to get to this point in time. Working on my essays for Rice right now. UChicago- Chose Where’s Waldo essay and reviewers at my school LOVED it. Georgetown- Wrote about how climate change is an immediate threat to human life and was seen in my city during Hurricane Harvey as a personal note. Vanderbilt- Wrote about the robotics team, reviewers also loved the essay.
Recommendations:
Counselor Recommendation: She loves me. Known me since 6th grade and has seen my progress over the years
Teacher #1 Recommendation: AP WH and U.S. History teacher; seen me struggle in APWH and spoke about my growth as well as my aspirations in the political field.
Teacher #2 Recommendation: Algebra II and AP Calc AB teacher; Knows me as a hard worker. Probably the best in her class.
Awards: Dean’s List (All A’s for a semester): Since beginning of 9th grade

Questions: I don’t know, sometimes I feel my SAT scores aren’t good enough or that my volunteer service/ECs aren’t that strong compared to other students. Be honest with me.
