I forgot to mention I’m male, white (Middle-Eastern), my school doesn’t do class rank, I’m test optional, and all my colleges were RD

Are you looking to apply next year or did you already apply this year?

If you are a junior, note that the only UCs that offer an undergraduate business major are Berkeley, Irvine and Riverside. The other UCs offer econ or similar majors.

Just curious why Chapman and not USD?

Are you local to any of the CSU’s? https://www.calstate.edu/apply/freshman/documents/csulocaladmission-serviceareas.pdf

Which majors did you apply or will apply at the UC”s which do not have a specific Business Admin major or Business school? Economics, Business Economics, Business Management, Managerial Econ?

I’m local to Fullerton, and for the UCs that don’t have specific Business majors I applied as a CS for UCSD (with a joint Math-Econ alternate major), Financial Math & Stats for UCSB (CS as alternate major), and CS for UCLA. Oh, and UCSC is business management economics.

I already applied and for the UCs that don’t offer specific business majors I applied as a CS for UCLA UCSD (with a joint math-econ major as an alternate major), financial math and stats for UCSB, and Business Management Econ for UCSC.

I wanted to apply to USD but the deadline was on December 1 and I made the dumb mistake of not starting my application early. I applied to Chapman bc it’s only like a 15-20 min drive from where I live.

You don’t mention affordability - if your CSU’s and UC’s are affordable, will the privates you applied to be? They are nearly twice as much $ as the UC’s.

You are definitely a strong candidate for most of the schools you’ve applied to. As long as you’re aware that UCLA CS and UCB Haas are a moonshot for most, I think you’ll have plenty of good options to choose from. Good luck!

I think you have a well balanced college list. I am just going to post some statistical information since it is difficult to chance any applicant when you do not have the complete application to consider.

For the CSU’s, since they admit mainly based on stats, major and local admission area CSUDH, CPP and CSUF would be Very Likely/Safety. Other than Accounting at CPP, the rest of the Business majors only required around a 2.5 CSU GPA to meet the admission thresholds.

CSULB had a 34% admit rate for Business with an average CSU GPA of 4.00 and SDSU had a 35% admit for Business with a campus average CSU GPA 4.04. I would put both as Target schools.

Overall admit rates based on the Capped weighted UC GPA which I am assuming it is the 4.1 UC/CSU listed?

Campus 4.00+
Berkeley 17%
Davis 58%
Irvine 35%
Los Angeles 13%
Merced 97%
Riverside 95%
San Diego 37%
Santa Barbara 41%
Santa Cruz 69%

Major specific admit data if available:

Campus Business/CS/Math-Stats
UC Berkeley 9.1% Intended Business Admin- 2024 Direct admit into HAAS
UC Irvine 8.8% Business Admin/10.8% Business Econ
UCLA CS 3.8%
UC Riverside Pre Business Admin 67%
UC San Diego CS estimated <10%
UC Santa Barbara No admit by major but by College: 32% Math-Stats
UC Santa Cruz 39.3% for Business Management

You will have several options so Good luck.
