Here’s the catch I got one D in algebra 2 in 10th grade which was made up. And then I have got TWO D’s in the second semester of 11th grade. I got one in AP Language and in Honors French 3. I am making up the one for AP Lang. I’m an idiot I know but my mind was not in the right place. So what do you think guys? I’d be extremely happy if I got into UCR or UCSC. What do you guys think. Thank you!

b u m p ! !

I believe your ACT score is below UC Berkeley’s 50% range. If possible, try and retake it.

Seeing as UCB doesn’t require SAT II’s anymore (depends on major, some of UCB’s programs recommend having them), if you aren’t able to retake yours, I suggest not to send them.

You can’t do anything about your GPA now other than redo the classes that you said you are. Don’t stress about that anymore.

Focus on cultivating your essays and revealing yourself to the adcoms.

Good luck.

Well I can’t really change my essays anymore because I already submitted as yesterday was the last day. I’m not aiming for the higher end UC’s like Berkeley or UCLA. I’m aiming for the lower to middile UC’s like UCR, UCSC, and UCD

? Excuse me for assuming Berkeley, I have no idea why I did that! Sorry!

And you’re right about the essays.

Honestly, don’t worry about chances, no one here knows the likelyhood of you getting accepted/rejected. Go and relax, you have your college applications done!

Since you’re looking at the lower and middle UC’s, I feel like you’ll have acceptance letters coming your way.

Quick question: Do you have a safety? If not, go find one.

UC Merced might be a clear safety. I’m not sure if you applied there but you will get in there for sure if you did. UCSC & UCR might be matches.

Chance me back please

You’ll easily get in to UCR, UCSC, UCI and UCD.

D’s are not good, but the rest of your transcript makes up for them. Relax and do your best to perform better in school this semester!

Thanks everyone. And I did apply to a couple of CSU’s as safeties.

Hey, you shouldn’t worry about the D’s they will be able to see how you did so much to make up for them! And if you have great personal statements like you said, you should easily get into those schools.

It was smart of you to apply to CSUs as backup but you probably won’t need them!

Good luck!

Please chance back: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1423583-chance-me-haas-school-business.html

b u m p !!

you’ll get in. Even if you don’t, college isnt all that life is about. Don’t worry, everything is gonna be alright. UCSD is way more fun than UCLA and the girls are hotter. But seriously, no matter where you go it’ll work out. Just be friendly.
