Essays: I’d say they’re very good. I had people from UCB, UCLA, UCSC, UCD and Dartmouth read over them, and most didn’t have much critique. My family also loved my essays, but that doesn’t mean much. I talked about my volunteer work and the reasons why I do it, how I overcame depression, and my art.
I’m upper middle class and white lol. But they supposedly don’t factor that into admissions. UCSC is my top school, I have dreamt about it since 8th grade. I doubt I’ll get into UCD, my GPA isn’t near good enough. My brother got into UCD in 2009 with the same GPA but higher test scores.
