<p>Hey I’m a junior and I’m starting to look at the rosenstiel school at UMiami. Does UM take the best overall SAT scores or do they take the best individual scores and put it together? I have a 3.6 GPA unweighted and im in the top 8% in my class of just over 500 students. I don’t have any marine science background since I just starting looking at this major. But I did grow up around marine biologists(if that helps at all lol). Im planning on getting my SCUBA certification and I’m going to start volunteering as much as possible and I’m going to get at least 2 letters of recs from teachers who I know will go in depth of my work ethics. I was on varsity golf for 3 years and am in NHS. My first concern of course is at least getting into the school. So please tell me my chances!</p>

<p>oh ya.Ive taken four AP classes and plan on taking 5/6 APs next year. Im in the A and B+ range.</p>
<p>and my highest on the math section was a 570 and my highest on critical reading was a 620 but they were on different tests. i plan on retaking it in october and the SAT subject math test.</p>
