ECs (kinda vague, there’s a lot of specific numbers/details I left out):

  • Cultural organization (4 yrs): leadership role; performed at 60+ events, trained 10+ members, completed 400+ community service hours

  • University research program (1+ yr): selected 1 of ~50 from 300+ applicants; developed a public health research proposal; ongoing involvement

  • HOSA (3 yrs): event leader; mentored 5–6 students; state-level finalist and regional medalist

  • Nonprofit service club (4 yrs): leadership position; coordinated volunteers; led fundraisers raising $3k+ and 50+ donation boxes

  • Paid city job (3+ yrs): supervisor role; ~8 hrs/wk; CPR certified; managed staff, safety, and public events

  • Hospital volunteering (1 yr): ~100 hours assisting patients and supporting nurses

  • Language/cultural school (4 yrs): teaching assistant; taught 15+ students; emceed events with 300+ attendees

You certainly seem the kind of student anyone would want so I’d lean toward yes.

Your profile looks like it is well above average for admitted students and you are in-state.
So you are a very strong applicant.

You should know by Dec 24th, so, for now, try to find ways to distract yourself (like finishing applications for colleges whose applications deadlines are coming up). You are a strong applicant overall, so even if U Michigan doesn’t work out, you will likely have a number of other great choices.
