i’m also in-state!
And from a low income very crime heavy city, with a school EXTREMELY low in test scores (public)

general stats gpa: 3.59uw,an extremely upward trend in grades from sophmore to junior year ap/honors: 3 ap Classes that I did well in (A+Bs) Only took Honors when not Aps so like 10 Honors Test optional

awards Honor roll for 4 years ( I know I didn’t get much )

Mentioning my Solo ensemble First division ranking in my LOCI

Worked for a nonprofit for 2+ years and filling multiple jobs including lifeguard and customer service, as well as a youth leader, gained multiple Red Cross certifications.

Staffed(volenteered) at the nations largest NYLT (national youth leadership training), where I taught kids how to be leaders and stuff

Actively participated in a charity that helped homeless and displaced people to get supplies aswell as raised aviator funds

Sang in highest choir at highschool During which we were awarded a 1 in districts and became the first choir in our school’s history to get a 1 in states

My essays:
Personal: talked about how my tumor diagnosis made me change my perspective on health care workers ( because a doctor made a joke about naming a tumor and I named it Gertrude)

Community: about boyscouts, and how in my community I made impact teaching kids to better themselves so they can better others

Why Umich: mostly just talked about why I wanted to go into nursing, how the close knit community would motivate and inspire me. The fact that they let their sophmores do clinicals will only fuel my passion and help me explore settings And how their amazing Aid to low income students aswell as their LGBTQ center makes it a place for EVERYONE!

i also am First gen if they care about that

I’ve been to multiple tours of campus both general campus and nursing tours, I earned 3 Medical College Credits post app, and I’m currently taking a health technican class to get CNA cert

LOC are from Choir teacher highlighting my Charisma and my people skills, AP Lit teacher talking about my analytical skills and critical thinking and the CEO of the company I work for mentioning I’m a very hard worker, employee of the month and that I extremely versitile

3.59 seems low. Any test ? First gen helps.

You’ll know soon enough. My guess isn’t reievant but I’d think not.

Good luck.

My sat isn’t competitive at all🤷‍♂️ I’m mostly relying on my demographics due to be Hawaiian and a male going into nursing

Good luck. I assume you have other in state options. Nurses will do well from anywhere. There’s a shortage

Yeah but Umich is my cheapest option shockingly, their aid is super good to instate

Best of luck.
