I want to major in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences in The College of Agricultural Sciences.
I would be willing to start at an alternative campus.
What are my chances at UP and/or a satellite campus?
Also, when should I hear a decision?
Would my major affect me in the deciscion?
Thanks for any help!!

I’d say PSU University Park is a reach. You might be able to get in one of the branches and move to University Park in a year or two. I’d definitely apply to some schools that are a better match and perhaps a safety or two. Just my opinion…

Thanks! Anyone else?

I actually had a very similiar stat like you. 1140/1600 and 1640/2400 with a 3.2 GPA. Out of State and a very strong extracurricular list like you. I got rejected from Univ. Park but got accepted to any branch school I wanted… Wasn’t worth paying alot of money to attend a branch school so just went to Purdue.

If Penn State only looks at 2 parts of the SAT, the score seems okay. If they look at all 3 parts, the aggregate total of 1590 is probably too low for them to accept to Univ. Park.

Would I be able to get into summer?
