Check with Penn and Columbia whether this will be a problem for financial aid, since they normally require the non custodial parent finances for financial aid.

Chicago and the UCs only require the custodial parent finances. If Penn and Columbia are problematic for financial aid, put Chicago first on the Questbridge rank order.

For admission, they should all be seen as reaches, though UCB probably a bit less reachy than the others (UCs have a strong commitment to accessibility for students from lower income families).

Apply widely to the UCs to include matches and likelies.
