<p>I am a non-citizen, Asian.
I’m attending a small, not famous, boarding school.</p>

<p>SAT I: 2280
Verbal: 720
Math: 800
Writing: 760</p>

<p>SAT II: Math IIC - 800
Chem - 770
US - 650</p>

<p>Had 4 AP’s in Junior year

  • BC
  • USH
  • Chem
  • English 3</p>

<p>Having 5 AP’s in Senior year

  • Stats
  • Psych
  • Physics
  • English 4
  • Spanish 5</p>

<p>cumulative GPA: about 3.75 </p>

<p>My weakest point is the EC.

  • internship and work experiences at fund mananing offices.
  • 100 hrs of volunteering
  • 3 yrs of Varsity Soccer
  • Proctor or “prefect” in my boarding school
  • AMC 12 School Winner
  • English award in 10th grade
  • Foreign Language award in 11th grade
  • FBLA state competition
  • FBLA club president
    and some other small club activities.</p>

<p>I am thinking about Chicago EA, and UMichigan early response as well</p>

<p>Please chance me for those schools…</p>

<p>I cannot decide whether I should apply to Columbia or Penn for Early…</p>

<p>Chicago EA might be a 50-75% chance.
U Michigan (I’m not so sure about this one) should be around a 80% chance.</p>

<p>Columbia is going to be super tough, especially for you as an Asian (and I’m not trying to be racist or anything; I’m asian as well). Simply because so many Asian kids apply there each year and they’ve raised their standards without raising the number of acceptances. If I were you I’d try Penn. It’s at least a TAD easier…</p>

<p>do you mean penn wharton or penn cas for econ?
penn wharton’s very tough to get into and you might have to take another SAT subject test.
i think penn is slightly harder than columbia SEAS although for SEAS, you should have demonstrated interest in the sciences/math.</p>

<p>i don’t think your EC’s are that weak; i know how much commitment playing a varsity sport can take and FBLA sounds pretty good.</p>

In columbia SEAS, I’m hoping to major in Financial Engineering.</p>
