Chance me for UPenn Nursing [NH resident, 3.87 GPA, 1450 SAT]

Those are great schools - but don’t forget, those nurses will be working side by side with nurses from schools like - hmmmm - pick your nursing school - any nursing school.

I admit, I was surprised, when I found out my lead nurse at Vandy went to an online school (Aspen). But I was also surprised where some of the residents there went to undergrad - schools like Murray State and Northern Illiniois.

Apply to your list..it’s fine - but like I showed above with UMASS (10% acceptance rate) or Purdue (24%),

Obviously, you’re an above average student and you’ll be fine - but don’t simply have creme de la creme schools and make sure your in-state is in fact a safety.

This is old data - but SDSU is a likely for you. But in nursing, in 2019 anyway, 343 of approximately 6000 got admitted into nursing.

Here’s a thread for you and the list of Direct Admit - I’m not saying to look at Marshall and FAU - but I might have one or two of that level of school on my list (if I was advising my kid…I don’t have a nursing kid but some easy to get into schools seem to have really low acceptance rates for some reason. Of course, there’s schools either non direct admit or direct admit, that have high acceptance rates too.

In the end, control what you can - your schooling - and take your shots but have a safety net - that’s it. If the SAT comes up, then great - and if not, you’ve already got a fine score for most schools.

Good luck.
