Hi I am an OOS applicant REALLY wanting to go to USC if I am accepted & get enough financial aid. I am hoping for abundant financial aid because our family income is less than $50,000 and USC claims to meet 100% need.
Please chance me for USC business? If this is a reach/ low match, I am willing to apply to a major with the highest acceptance rate. Which major has a relatively higher acceptance rate for USC?

I don’t mean to get your hopes up, but I would actually classify USC as a solid high match for you. Applying to Cinematic Arts is obviously a no-no, and Marshall or Viterbi would be low reaches, but Dornsife (main, Arts and Sciences school) is doable. Apply for something that you are interested in though. The only ones to avoid are pre-med sciences (Bio, chem, etc.), anything with engineering in the name, and maybe polysci. Don’t worry, you can definitely switch to those if you want, but anything outside those and it’s a good shot.

I hope you know that USC is a private school, not a state school, so there are no limitations for how many OOS students they can enroll. That being said, I think USC is a solid match for you. Your GPA and class rank are very good And your ACT is right in their range. Also, you have demonstrated leadership in your ECs. USC does pay 100% of your demontrated financial aid based on what you Expected Family Contribution (EFC) is. Based on your income, your EFC will be relatively low so, should you get in, you will receive a good amount of need-based aid.

Chance me back?
