That’s good advice for sure on being sure on $$ before applying ED. Just wanted to add that Villanova does give substantial financial aid to lots of middle income families. It’s certainly not the most generous - currently meets only 83 percent of need. So not sure what your specific situation is and I’m sorry it didn’t work out. According to CDS 65 percent of those who applied for aid received it and 35 percent did not. The vast majority of those who got aid received very substantial grants (average grant $52k). I am certain most of these folks are middle income…but I guess we all have different definitions of that and all kinds of factors can affect aid…home equity, owning a business, etc. Wishing the best for all.
