Chance Me for Virginia Tech's Architecture Program

overview

Demographic: white middle class male from Wisconsin attending a LARGE public school

stats: 32/31 ACT 4.0 GPA UW. Two 5s and a 4 on my AP tests

Course work: my rigor hasn’t been anything crazy as my first 3 years I’ve taken 3 aps. It’s pretty tough this senior year as I’m in 3 aps one of which being calc ab and I have no regular classes this semester. They’re all ap, advanced, or dual enrollment.

ECs: baseball all my years of HS. There’s a lot tied into that. The most relevant one for architecture was when I did construction and shadowed meetings with architects and looked over plans and laws. My other ones are guitar which I’m very very dedicated to, some volunteering stuff, I’m a student ambassador for a schools class program, and I did piano for a little.

Essays: I know they value them heavy so I know this is important. Complete honesty, I think 1 was really really good, there were 2 that were pretty good, and one was good but my least favorite I think.

Please chance me for VTs arch program and be honest!

What level of foreign language ?

With a 4.0 and 32 and no portfolio requirement, you have a chance. But as you noted rigor might be the issue.

Good luck

I cannot chance you for Virginia Tech due to lack of knowledge, but I encourage you to apply to ASU (Arizona State), Auburn, and U Arkansas as all three programs offer easier admissions to this major than does Virginia Tech.
