What criteria are you using to select schools of interest? Your “way too long” list has: big and small, urban and rural, conservative and liberal and a wider than average range of admissions difficulty. And you say you are “not a great writer.” You will probably need to write 10-20 uniques essays. The best thing someone can do here is help you narrow down your colleges to a more logical, more manageable list (less than 10). What is important to you in a college, besides Psych?

Keep in mind a lot of schools are need aware for international students and are not inclined to consider international students with lots of financial aid. Therefore I would recommend searching for more matches and perhaps add Amherst to your list (they are need blind).
Colgate I found also meets 100% of international student financial need which is good to keep in mind and the application is free for international students !
