<p>Im a rising senior and Im just going to list out my stats:
ACT: 36 with Writing
SAT Subjects:
WHis:800
US His: 800
Lit: 750
GPA: 3.69 UW, 5.1/6.02 W( All Honors and AP Classes except Elec and English and Math)
School doesnt rank but goes by top 10 percent top 20 percent etc. Im in Top 20 Percent
School is kind of competitive, US News ranks it at 780 nationally for public
MY Gpa is low because I spend 2-3 hours a night reading out of random books to help my stuttering. I need to do this otherwise I can’t get over it. It is slowly getting better and I will stop reading out loud soon. Ill put this in my personal statement to explain to colleges why my GPA is low, Im not dumb.
EC:
HAWKS: A Club that helps people orient to high school, chose this because of public speaking
BRIDGES: A Club that talks about school wide issues and helps people cope with them
Not In My House: Did a campaign to curb drugs and alcohol, got an award from the mayor
NJSYO: New Jersey State Youth Orchestra: Exclusive Program
Concert Orchestra at my school for 3 years
Wrote a book about stuttering avoidance techniques, its published
Edited and Co Authored a book about Spiritual Peace, once again because stuttering is a mental disfluency
Started a club dedicated to Leadership and Public Speaking, once again to help my stuttering and pass on my knowledge to others.
Clean Your Community: Webmaster for a group that helps the environment

Latin Honor Society
Social Studies Honor Society
Internship for the CEO in a 8 Million dollar company, learning finance
Within the company, initiated a business. </p>

<p>I am doing a UPenn Course in Intro to Microeconomics and let us assume that I’ll get an A and a letter from the professor. This might help acceptance into Penn</p>

<p>And Let us assume that i get a 4.0 GPA the first marking period of my senior year. </p>

<p>And for Yale, the Head of the Fellowship of Yale is interviewing me and giving me a recommendation. He is the head of Yale,above the Dean. And I might get a recommendation from George W. Bush.(not lying here, the Head of the Fellowship of Yale is Bush’s best friend)</p>

<p>I want to ED UPenn or Maybe Yale.</p>

<p>I feel that apart from my GPA, my application is stellar.</p>

<p>Oh, and I work at my internship 16 hours a week, and I am planning to work their 17 hours in the summer in addition to UPenn Course.</p>

<p>The stuttering problem might be a tough one to buy - 2-3 hours is a lot of time and the argument can be made that you should have been spending your time studying.</p>

<p>The GPA is low, but justifiable. Great essays and you’ll probably be a sure-in at UMichigan and Berkley and have a crap-shot chance (like everyone) at the rest.</p>

<p>Dang I thought that great ecs and test scores can balance out my GPA you mentioned only Mich and Berkeley. Is stern a reach too? My school is a target school for stern.</p>

<p>I think you’re very unique! Wharton is hard for anybody, but Yale isn’t exactly known for undergrad business so you might have a better chance there. Congrats on your book and I hope you get into your top school! :)</p>
