also, if anyone has any info on whether or not applying early helps, please let me know

More info- I go to a Catholic school that has a good relationship with Georgetown because it is also a catholic and jesuit university. Also bump

bumppppity bump

BUMP BUMP BUMPITY BUMP

Need unweighted GPA, but for my part the pure stats look fine/great for Georgetown.

Your looking good for Georgetown early… and definitely apply early if its your top choice school, it will improve your chances of getting in. However, you might be missing out on the opportunity to apply early elsewhere.

@Anonymoose3 Pretty sure it would be 4.0, as I got all A+ last year and nothing below an A in by high school career. I know georgetown only takes the CR and Math sections for the SAT, would it be work trying to bump my CR score or do you think 700 is ok? I’m science-oriented for my major, not english at all. And do you have any input on whether applying early helps or not? The early action rate seems lower than the regular rate, but deferral is the worst that could happen…

@puzzled123 thanks for the input. I guess applying early should help then because I’ve heard that Georgetown is more competitive early action. Do you have any advice at how I could make my application stronger between now and early action time?

@streetking18 Essays, essays, essays! They are an extremely important part of your application. IMO, for most students, their essays matter more than all of their EC’s.

@puzzled123 wow, that’s huge! I’ve already outlined my common app essay, and will get right to the georgetown supplements if I feel that I will 100% apply early action- I am visiting this weekend so I should know after that!

Hey again…

You look live a very strong candidate for GU Early!

Tip: GU LOVES applicants who deal a lot with community service and international stuff. So emphasize those two things especially.

@theknova just saw this ha. Thanks! I will my essay is about some of my volunteer experiences. To what are you referring when you mention international stuff?

Np! That’s good.

Basically that you “understand that America is not the center of the world” (quote from a dean). Like in my case, taking AP French, travel blogging, wanting do environmental research in Indonesia, etc. is how I am going to appeal to them on an “international basis.”

Also just a note: I would be very surprised if you did not get in EA. You seem just to be the type they’re looking for!

@theknova and I guess my international appeal would be my website and YT channel? that’s good to know thanks for the tip
