Recs/Essays -
11th Grade English teacher - good personal stories, did well in her class/was a leader in discussions, seen my interest in politics develop (which we talk abt a lot and she said she’ll focus on)
9th-12th Photography teacher - personal, was sorta in a slump last year creatively but have been doing really well recently. Relies on me for helping others regarding technical things (photoshop, etc.). He’s a real sappy, emotional dude, I think he’ll pull through haha.
Counselor - I go to a large public high school, her’s isn’t gonna be fantastic.
My essays are witty and humbling. I talk about the losses I faced when running for club offices and how that inspired me to set out and do more than those who beat me could ever have achieved. Personal stuff like how hiking and outdoorsmanship made me an independent and perseverant person. I’m working on it okay? haha
I’m focusing on Gov/Poli Sci at the various places I’m applying to. For Georgetown specifically, SFS for International Politics. I’m nervous about my scores, but I think the holistic approach will shine some personality and intrigue through!
