Hi there, I’m a half-Filipino, Half-Caucasian male going to a private international school in the Philippines. I will be a senior next year.
Could you chance me for the following colleges:
Colgate
Davidson
LeHigh
Holy Cross
Colby
Trinity College
Connecticut College
I will likely be applying ED 1(maybe ED 2 if rejected from first choice) to one of these colleges. So could you chance me as if I am applying as a ED 1 applicant?
Some info about me: Grew up in the Philippines and Taiwan (lived in Taiwan until I was 8 years old, and the Philippines until today). I am fluent in Filipino. I have maintained very close ties with the United States (of which I am a citizen), and have vacationed here every summer. Could my experience in many cultural backgrounds be a hook that could increase my chances?

For my question about the SAT subject tests. I understand that most all these schools (with the exception of Davidson I believe) “consider” SAT subject tests for admission. But in reality, especially for these liberal arts schools, are they almost required? Would I be put at an extreme disadvantage for admission if I have no subject tests? With this said, especially with my subpar SAT 1 scores, would I be really doomed for chances?
Also, since I have basically no knowledge of US History (having grown up overseas) would it be manageable to study for the SAT US History exam? Any tips? Would it be worth taking the US History Test I if I am likely going to get a mediocre score and have spent so much time studying for it? I will also be studying for the Bio SAT 2 this summer, which I believe is more manageable. If I have to take Subject Tests, is it alright if it is only one? (Which would be Biology)
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!!
