I’m considering chemical engineering and physics as possible majors, since I’ve always liked science. In recent years, however, I’m starting to think that I might be better at humanities, like writing…granted, my humanities courses were much easier than my science ones. For your information, I’m an Asian-American girl, and I’m currently a junior.

Since I’m not sure what I want to pursue yet, I haven’t looked extensively at colleges. I am still leaning towards doing something in science though, and am considering Harvey Mudd College, Reed College, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the UC schools. Please give me some more suggestions as you see fit.

Question: Do colleges care if you skip grades? I skipped pretty late (8th grade).

I’m really worried about my science and math grades…I don’t think I got Bs because I couldn’t understand the material, but because I still felt burnt out from sophomore year. I plan on working much harder next semester, though. My schedule will stay the same, except that I will be taking Biology I and possibly Art II instead of French and Precalc.

I think I can still get good SAT II Math and Chemistry scores. Will that do anything to allay mediocre grades?

I’m planning on retaking this…I got 800CR and 770W in SAT prep so I know I can do better, and fixing the math score is a given.

AP Physics B: 3
I’m also thinking of retaking this, but is it worth it? Would it be better to take the SAT II Physics instead?
