Can anyone help me with this list of schools? I’m interested in IR, law, etc.

bumpity bump

HYP are reaches for everybody, but I think you have an excellent shot. You’re great in grades, test scores, and extra curricular.

In everywhere else

Thanks! bump

There’s nothing weak about your stats. Unless you have room left on your app, I’d leave out a lot of the school awards and most of the honor societies unless you’re really involved in them.

I think colleges will LOVE your involvement in the Uganda project. That shows initiative and caring. Also, your volunteerism suggests that you have a great awareness of the world around you and a willingness to better it. That’s something top colleges will love, and something you should definitely emphasize.

Thanks for the suggestions?

Does anyone think U of R is a good safety?

natty bumpo

You should get into UVA, but do eliminate 5 perfect SOL thing. SOLs are not even included on your transcript. So do not bring them up. As for the U of R as a safety, find one more. The U of Richmond is a tough school to get into. There are plenty of good safeties in VA.

Yeah, I won’t put the SOL score stuff.

Anyone have any ideas of safeties?

UVA is a safety for you, no doubt about it. (you’re instate, otherwise its a target school)

HYP is a reach for virtually everyone (except those quadruple legacies who have at least two and a half buildings named after them).

I don’t know too much about how duke admits applicants but i’d imagine you’d ahve a fairly good chance.
