4.0 UW, 4.67 W @ HS / As at local university, Pass at EPGY

going into science
among other classes…
sophomore year: AP Physics, AP Bio, AP Chem, AP Calc BC
junior year: math at local university + physics C epgy
senior year: bio/math/comp sci. at local university

a bunch of A-s though that still count for the 4.0 UW… i don’t care that much about the difference between A and A-.

major ECs
research, worked for Department of Defense at UC San Diego (3 years), published two papers (submitting 1 of them as supplemental / professor rec)
started own company, work as CEO around 5 and a 1/2 hrs per week.
computer science stuff - i spend A LOT of time creating games, which some friends and i like to play occasionally on weekends. designed some free iphone apps.

awards
nothing TOO major: usapho/usabo/usnco semis, aime, national merit, nat. ap scholar, lectures at ucsd and ucb, all i can really think off of the top of my head. i am very into what i do, but im not much of a competition guy. didn’t really study for any of these things, just classroom knowledge.

essays are good. im earlying to stanford.

ACT and SAT scores?

o yah, 2340 sat. 4 800s (math + sciences), didn’t take act.

and since ppl here are such standardized testing whores, 12 5s.

God I know I hate standarized tests! like my SAT I can always do well and get an 800 in math but suck in english so it messes up my overall scores…

gosh you guys suck…

Decent chances, you don’t have any non-academic EC’s (like music/dance, athletics, or clubs) so colleges might see you as a bit of a nerd, but your academics and academic EC’s are strong. Those olympiads are impressive without studying, even if it was only semifinals. I recommend you take a non-math science SAT 2, although too late for Stanford. Your recs and essays will probably determine your acceptance.

Are you a: legacy? URM? low-income? first-gen? Those will also help.
