Chance me: Indian, rising senior, praying to not get rejected by every business school [TX resident, 3.8 GPA, 1400 SAT]

Wealth Management - you can do from anywhere. My daughter’s bf is doing - from U Denver. If you look at different firms, you’ll see their Wealth Managers come from the directional/San Angelos to elite and all in between. Financial Analyst - most anywhere too - although that’s a wide/general term.

IB is obviously a bit different so take a look at ASU IBIS that I posted above as an easier and you’ve seen other suggestions - the Fordhams of the world. You can also look at the target lists - just for more ideas - but there’s no absolutes - people get into those roles from a variety of schools but obviously many do much better than others. I put two below - the Peak list is longer - but appears two years old.

Are you taking Calc at all - non-AP? That will be a hinderance at some top schools if not.

If you want to stay in Texas, you have lots of options - U of H Bauer is a great school as is A&M and SMU. Trinity is great for smaller. If you google the school and Investment banking + linkedin, you’ll find some folks - you might reach out and ask about their experience and their path to get where they are from each school. In addition to UH, it’s the same with Trinity and A&M as well as TCU and SMU. That will give you some Texas options. More a reach but Rice would seem a fit for you to near home.

Best of luck to you.
