I know this is a website used for American students studying in the States and admitting to schools in the US… I only apply to 1/3 of those but I still hope you guys could help me!
I’m a Canadian (originally Middle Eastern) student studying the IB (International Baccalaureate) at a British private school in Abu Dhabi! Quite the cocktail, eh?
I’m applying to the following US universities: Columbia, UCLA, Berkeley, and NYU (possibly Stanford just for the heck of it).
I’m looking at a Forensic Science major in Columbia and biochemistry/anthropology majors at the other three. I plan on going to medical school after and becoming a medical examiner following all of the studying.
I wanted to know my chances for Columbia if I go for early admission and my chances at the other three, please!

I love hiking and acting.
In my essays I have noted the fact that I’ve been to 10 schools in four different cities and two different countries and how that’s assisted in my wider cultural understanding and ability to adapt with others.
I’ve written about how my dedication is of my greatest aspect by discussing how three months after the first IB year, I switched schools, having to undergo the wide jump of taking an IB Theatre Arts class to an IB Chemistry class (my new school didn’t offer Theatre Arts) and how despite that, I am getting a 7/7 in Chemistry.
So… how do I wrack up?
Thank you!
