Recommendations (to the best of my knowledge)
College counselor - Known for writing exceptional and detailed recommendations.
PI from Davis - Very good.
AP Calculus teacher - Pretty good.
AP Biology teacher - Alright.

Interviews: I have prepared extensively because of BS/MD programs and believe that the ones I have had and am yet to have will all be very good.

Essays: My Common App and supplementals were hopefully somewhat powerful and memorable. School-specific essays may have been slightly weaker but still decent.

Please chance me for the following schools: Harvard, Yale (my top), Brown, Dartmouth, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Claremont McKenna, UC Berkeley

Thank you very much in advance!

Judging from your stats, I think you have a very good shot at UC Berkeley. You’re for sure a good contender for Claremont McKenna and Northwestern as well. Harvard and Yale are reaches for pretty much everybody, and so although I think you have the capability to be competitive, plenty of competitive applicants unfortunately get turned away. Brown, Dartmouth, and Vanderbilt are all also extremely competitive, but I think you are a very good applicant. Best of luck!

What above poster said^

While Ivy admissions is always left to an aspect of chance, I would definitely ascertain that your application is definitely going to be competitive in the pool. Your standardized tests are pretty average if not slightly above (for an Ivy applicant) which is alright;
I think some of your EC’s are definitely appealing and attractive: the only downside I possibly see is that you haven’t really participated in many school EC’s for 3+ years (this may be because your school doesn’t offer them or they just aren’t great at your school).

You definitely have some strong leadership positions in your EC’s which will definitely make you stand out.
Your high family income is also going to be attractive. Best of luck!

@dkcub17 You got it!

Looks really good. I’m especially interested in your research at UC Davis-- definitely shows your interest in molecular biology (same as biomolecular?). I would be iffy about your Spanish AP test-- a 3 is low for the Ivies-- but I think that you’re definitely a strong applicant and competitive. Because you aren’t doing anything related to communication, I think they’ll overlook that although you never know. Great demonstration of leadership as well. I think that you will be accepted into a good school though not necessarily the Ivies-- they’re known for being a crapshoot. Best of luck to you!
