<p>You’re definitely a competitive applicant. There certainly isn’t anything lacking in your application, but you aren’t an extremely unique or distinct case from this information alone. You’ve got a good shot, but it will come down to the strength of your essays and the impression that they give. </p>

<p>You look really impressive! Your grades are great and definitely higher than many other people because you listed it as unweighted. Even though your ACT is very impressive as well, I think most colleges will be focusing on your SAT score. The ECs look great, especially 600 hours of Community Service! </p>

<p>You are definitely good competition for most of these schools, but it is always good to accept rejection (cool an oxymoron!). Kids that have worse transcripts might be getting in, while you might not. Kids better than you might not get in, while you do… Many brilliant people get rejected; don’t take it personally if you do get rejected. These are some of the top colleges in America, and some have 10% acceptance rates.</p>

<p>Good luck on getting in! I’m sure at least two will accept you (easier to get into colleges). </p>

<p>I say your SAT I and II scores are the weakest points in your application.
But I think you’d have a solid chance at Johns Hopkins, Georgetown and Vanderbilt.
Ivies and Stanford are reaches for everyone.</p>

<p>woah that’s a great application. But I agree with most of the comments above. Admissions is a fickle process and you never know where you might get accepted. I have a cousin you got accepted at Yale but UCLA rejected him, so you never know. But you are a really competitive applicant so I’m sure that you will get into a few of your reaches.

<p>If it’s not too late, submit the ACT and not the SAT. If you’ve submitted both, it probably won’t matter, colleges will look at the better scores.</p>

<p>I suspect you will get into Stanford and most of the others - the biggest unknown would be Harvard.</p>

<p>CONGRATULATIONS, you have an outstanding performance record and you truly deserve admission to many/all of these exceptional universities. For Duke RD '19, however, I hope you’ll appreciate a few facts:

  • Nearly half (48 percent) of '19 has already been determined through ED decisions.
  • About 20,000 of those who will be evaluated, along with you, during RD fundamentally have similar records (I honesty believe yours may be marginally better than most, however, there are only approximately 910 “freshman seats” remaining).
  • The RD acceptance rate will approximate 8 percent.</p>

<p>NONE of the foregoing is intended to be discouraging – I’d love to see you matriculate at Duke next August – but the odds are daunting, even for superb applicants like you. PLEASE ensure your essays are compelling, innovative, humorous, and never trite (no too-frequently-used “Cameron Crazy” stuff, etc.); they could easily be decisive.</p>
