Chance me maybe?

I’m an American-born, Algerian student, I’m currently a junior in high school. I would like to attend an ivy league college, most preferably Harvard because that is where my sister is attending college right now. I’m wondering if I have a better chance of getting in their because of that, anyone have an idea? Here is what you should know about me:

Grades/Standardized tests:
34 on ACT, the 2nd time
Have not taked SAT subj tests yet
4.0 unweighted GPA, 4.2 weighted (highest possible given available classes)

Extra curriculars:
1 yr of swimming (2011-2012)
2 yrs of wrestling
History Club VP
2 yrs of History Club, 3 if counting non-lettering years
JCL (Junior Classical League) Newspaper Editor
3 Years of DECA
3 Years of French Club
3 Years of JCL (Latin Club)
-I have also broken several school records in lifting, not sure how to mention that
Religion-based website, not much traffic but it’s something
Summer internship researching cancer detection
Hospital job-shadow type internship
Certified Nursing Assistant
State History Bowl

I would like to pursue a career in cancer research or a career as an oncologist. Cancer has had a profound effect on my life, both parents have had it multiple times. Chance me maybe?

With legacy and above scoring I think you definetely are in the zone for IV league schools. You are looking at a high acceptance chance!
Chance me back?

Thanks, I hope you know what you’re talking about:)

I posted on your thread btw:)

Although you definitely fall in the range of scores for the Ivy leagues, I don’t believe it is fully wise to say that you have a high acceptance chance (no one does), however your profile is undoubtedly very strong. That being said, the best way to increase your chances would be to focus on writing excellent essays and having good interviews. In addition, remember to apply to safety schools that you would like to go to. Best of luck to you!

Do you think you could chance me?

You’re an extremely strong candidate, as everyone has already said. Your scores, GPA, and ECs are fantastic. At this point, the most you can do is make sure you have a really good essay, and I think you would have a shot at some Ivys.

Please chance back!
