Chance Me: Multiple universities, IB38, 1530 (updated) SAT, OOS Permanent Resident, Aerospace/Mech Engineering

(Moderator edit to clarify resident status)

Would like honest feedback about my chances at the colleges below.

Demographics:
Currently Residing: India (US permanent resident, considered OOS for all 50 states - have emailed colleges to check this)
Gender/Race: Male, Asian

Intended Major: Mechanical Engineering (second major Computational/Electrical Engineering)

Test Scores:
IGCSEs: 4A*s (phy, chem, math, cs), 1A (econ), and 2 Bs (english, 2nd lang)
IB Overall: 38/45 (36+2) | IB HL scores: 766 (physics, chemistry, math)
Got average scores in 9th, 11th, and 12th internal tests (no internal tests in 10th grade)
Class Rank: Top 10% in class of 40 (unofficially; not sure if counselor will mention this)
SAT: 1530

Extracurriculars:

  1. Founded large (>90 members) beach cleanup club. Collaborated with national-level orgs.
  2. 2nd highest position in stuco.
  3. Internship at local company to completely redesign their website.
  4. UI Design Experience intern at a local edutech company for their IB courses.
  5. Month-long web dev Internship in which I made two simple applications.
  6. Developed a few websites (for the club and for a school thing) as well as a basic chrome extension.
  7. Participated in a few MUNs - no awards though.
  8. Youth Leader at one of the previously mentioned national environmental orgs (was invited to join them due to my efforts with the beach club; but other than make a promo video for my club for their socials, I haven’t done much with their team specifically).

LORs:
One from CS and non-science teacher hopefully
One from my principal/chem teacher/EE project supervisor (yes 3-in-1 and I’m not sure from which perspective she’ll be writing her letter)

Budget:
60k (but I’m still looking at more expensive colleges as I’m planning to compete for a commission thorugh ROTC, hence I could get a hefty scholarship for the last 2 years)

Colleges:

  1. TAMU
  2. Penn State (university park)
  3. Purdue
  4. UMich
  5. UIUC
  6. Georgia Tech
  7. More recommendations (any difficulty) would be appreciated.

TIA

I will reopen the OP’s last thread to avoid duplicate conversations and update the SAT score.

You would be a competitive applicant for Embry Riddle. Also, look into University of Alabama Huntsville, as they are known for engineering there and have internships with NASA.

I saw on your other post that you are looking into doing ROTC? If so, check out Lehigh University. They are a well-known school for engineering. They match any ROTC scholarships with free room and board. If you get the 3-year scholarship, you get 3 years room and board free, and so on for the 2-year and 4-year scholarships.

I’ll look into these three universities as well, thanks!
