Essays:
Common App Personal Statement - Wrote about finding my place through journalism and design
Common App Short Answer - on Model UN
Why Syracuse - self explanatory
Person You Want to Be - Wrote about my idol, Aoife Wasser (just left TeenVogue where she was the Creative Director) and how her vision for the magazine inspired me to want to be a CD as well
3 Levels - Journalism on campus, in the city (internships), and how the publishing world is not limited to the US

Recommendations:
Journalism 2 Teacher - junior year. My guidance counselor read it and said it was awesome
Chemistry I and AP Chemistry II Teacher - I love him. I’ve had him twice now so he knows me really well, and he’s like my teacher best friend. It’ll also be a great other-side recommendation as I made clear my intentions to be a Comm. major, which pretty much makes me the only student in his AP Chem class not intending to go into a science. Go figure
Guidance Counselor - we’re best friends, no lie. We bring each other chocolate and I hang out in her office for all my free periods. It’s great.

Special Circumstance:
Starting beginning of sophomore year I began have vision problems with optical migraines that caused me to lose sight for short periods of time and then had double vision 24/7. It lasted all through that year and junior year and led me to have some bad grades in school (though in my defense, a bad grade is a B for me and I never received anything below that). I eventually elected to have surgery to have the problem fixed and now senior year I’m back to being a really good student just like freshman year.

School Visit:
Visited for two days at the end of the summer. ADORED Newhouse (Newhouse 3 is seriously the coolest building EVER) and the school itself.

Legacy:
My grandfather went to 'Cuse

In Newhouse:
Planning on majoring in Graphic Design.

Pretty much it. Thanks to anyone who answers!

I think you have a very good chance. Good luck!
