chance me...no overachiever gpas here :(

Well after looking at this forum, I’m pretty depressed haha. Anyway, I’m wondering what the best possible schools I can get into are. Mainly I just want to go somewhere in the south or southwest. Also, it has to have good financial aid/scholarships. Here are my stats:

Gender: Female
Nationality: Russian (born there, moved to the U.S. when I was 8)
Cumulative GPA for freshman & sophomore year (i’m a junior): 3.33…weighted
I suck, i know. But honestly i was just an underachiever. And I’m really trying now. My first marking period GPA of this year was 3.7 and the second was 4.0. Next marking period is looking to be around a 4.2. I have taken some honors and AP classes, but my school automatically weighs the GPAs. Do you think colleges will look favorably upon improving grades?
ACT: 32
Extracurriculars: Book club (9th-11th), cooking club (11th), track (10th-11th), community service at the library will accumulate to 100+ hours by the time i have to apply for college, and working at a restaurant for the past 2 summers (no idea if this counts).

what colleges…?

Well, I’m open to pretty much any college in the south or southwest. However, the ones I’m thinking about are:
Louisiana State University, Main Campus
Louisiana State University, Alexandria Campus
University of Alabama, Main Campus
University of Alabama, Huntsville Campus
University of Texas, Dallas Campus
Chapman University (reach)
Pomona College (waaaay reach)

The only way I’m staying in PA is if I get into the following reaches:
University of Pennsylvania
Haverford
Lehigh

You should get into Lehigh.

Sweeeet  Anyone else? Good south/southwest schools I have a chance at?

bumppppp :)

Penn’s a definite reach…theyre acceptance rating is something like 17.5%

yeah i know i don’t think i’m even going to apply to penn anymore. does anyone else think i can get into lehigh?
