My opinion - major over school. You can achieve your goals from many schools but even at target schools they’re not easy to unlikely to be achieved.
Econ isn’t finance and vice versa. You should apply to the major you want - and if that’ means attending elsewhere so be it. If you wanted to study economics it’d be one thing - but you seem to want to study finance and it’s very different.
You shouldn’t go in with hopes to transfer. Except at UVA which is set up for that - it’s not direct admit into the commerce school.
